Send a Kilo to Kilo

Happy New Year to all! And for those of you who have sent all the gifts of love and appreciation I have one more wish. A charity that I have been involved with as a Foster PArent is helping to bring healing to an earthquake devistated area. Although there are no foster children in the village of Kilo on the island of Sumbawa in Indonesia they are still in need of help. Plan Canada is the charity and they are accepting donations for communities who are in need of education, health, safe water and liveihood in the future of children through child and community sponsorship. I have a foster child near the area and because they have no foster child in this small village people they are receiving AID through the organized efforts of local people and Plan Dompu. I am in contact with the local workers there and plan to send amenities such as clothes and dry goods to the area. You can track this on the blog as I negotiate the process from China, I hope that it will all work out. Your donation of $10 or more is tax deductable. If you want to speak to me directly my e-mail is sheschuk@gmail.com Plan Canada is working on this for me as well and if you can send a gift or donate they have a "Gifts of Hope" internet site you can choose your gift like a misquito net or support a solution like these projects ask about "Send a kilo to kilo" and "Universal Birth Registration for children in Indonesia" Plan Canada will also have my name as a reference if you speak to them directly.1-800 387- 1418 ext 299 Ask for Amanda Lopez from Plan Canada.
