New Years ( Canadian Style)

The best thing about the trip to Canada was the people that I had a chance to see. So China is far but I had the auspicious experience of seeing my family in another place and another time. It is seemingly a time away from the jam packed buses, the funny way that you walk around the place because you are still fitting in somehow. Not quite a tourist anymore and definately not a resident yet.
They say about 9 months for the resident card. It may take that length of time for Canada revenue to figure out that my husband is really in China with me. So they can still find out I am still here. Chinese New Years is the year of the pig. So my sister's chinese zodiac and the year for the opportunity to live and for her year to be cancer free.
I found out my namesake actually denotes two characters in Chinese, Danger has two sides; crisis and opportunity. That certainly has been the state of things. I am happy to be back in China and will be sharing the near crisis and also the oppportunity that abounds the time here in a well peopled Macao.
